Job Summary

Beacon Technologies is seeking an Application Architect III for our client partner. Candidates must be Wisconsin residents in the Madison (or surrounding communities) area or willing to relocate to Wisconsin at their own expense prior to starting the role. This position will be working mostly remote (from within the state of Wisconsin), but the selected hire could be called onsite in Madison as needed. This is a technical leadership position needed to drive the development and support of the IRIS 2.0 modernization project, a full replacement of the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation's case management system. Successful candidates will have demonstrated success in designing, creating, and maintaining web services, system integrations, web development, and highly complex online transaction processing (OLTP).

Top Required Skills & Years of Experience:

  • 5+ years' experience as the lead architect in modernization or re-write from a legacy system to a modern replacement, including modernization of technology, as well as working with a cross-functional team to redesign and simplify UX and workflows to meet modern application design standards, using a material design library and component framework, such as MudBlazor.
  • 2+ years' experience as a .NET expert, with extensive experience using ASP.NET Core v6-8.
  • 2+ years' experience in Azure SQL cloud database solution.
  • 2+ years' experience with GitHub distributed version control and using GitHub actions to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working in an Agile software development environment.
  • Experience using Oracle database technology, Control-M batch jobs.
  • Experience using LINQ or Entity Framework.
  • Previous experience providing this service for government is a plus, and experience with environments will be especially valuable.
